Status of sales this month

  • Sales for the month of December were 133.1% of the same month of the previous year on a consolidated basis.
  • In Japan, There was an apparent decline in the number of store visitors in urban areas due to the impact of the COVID-19 crisis. However, suburban stores performed strongly, and sales results increased year on year.

Status of sales this month

  • Consolidated sales for the month of November were 139.2% of the same month of the previous year.
  • In Japan, there was an apparent recovery in the number of store visitors. and sales at directly-managed stores were 143.9% of those in the same month of the previous year.

Status of sales this month

  • Strong sales were maintained in October, at 157.1% of the same month of the previous year on a consolidated basis.
  • There was a substantial increase in sales, partly attributed to extremely strong sales of limited-edition large tents, as we celebrated the "Sepposai" Snow Peak Festival, our Thanksgiving.

Status of sales this month

  • Strong sales were maintained in September, at 131.2% of the same month of the previous year on a consolidated basis.
  • We maintained robust sales against a backdrop of rising outdoor demand both in Japan and overseas, and sales exceeded last year's levels across all regions and all channels in Japan.
    Note: "Other overseas" includes sales to the UK in 2019, but excludes sales to the UK in 2020. Therefore, The combined sales of "Overseas" and "UK" will be presented from this disclosure onwards. This definition has also been applied retrospectively to the July and August results.
  • The number of directly-managed stores increased by 2 in September.

Status of sales this month

  • Strong sales were maintained in August, at 145.3% of the same month of the previous year on a consolidated basis.
  • In Japan, a decrease in sales was apparent until July as consumers were restricted from going on outings, but we observed a rebound in sales from August, with sales at directly-managed stores recording 122.9% of the previous year, and the total for direct sales channels recording 130.5% of the previous year.
  • The number of directly-managed stores increased by 1 in August (resulting from an increase of 2 stores, and the relocation of 1 store with a reopening plan for September).

Status of sales this month

  • A rise in the demand of camping was apparent in regions around the world, and strong sales were maintained in July.
  • Consumers refrained from outings due to the concern over the spread of COVID-19, and sales at directly-managed stores were 95.7% of the same month of the previous year. However, e-commerce sales were 176.9% of the previous year, and direct sales channels also exceeded the previous year's levels.
  • There was no change in the number of stores in July.

  • All net sales data by country are converted into Japanese yen at the time.
  • The data that form the basis for "Year-on-year change in net sales (Japan) by sales channel" is calculated by deducting overseas sales and wholesale sales to subsidiaries from Snow Peak's non-consolidated sales.
  • The data that form the basis for "Year-on-year change in net sales (Japan) by sales channel" does not include the effect of the change in the order of revenue recognition standards.
